Wedding favours are small gifts given to guests as a token of appreciation from the Bride and Groom on their Wedding Day – they are usually given out at the Wedding Reception, and often form part of the table decorations.
The tradition of distributing wedding favours has been around for several centuries. It is believed that the first wedding favour, known as a “bonbonniere” and was common amongst European aristocrats. A bonbonniere is a small box decorated with ribbon, flowers or precious stones. The contents of these precious little boxes were generally sugar cubes, almonds or delicate confections, which symbolised wealth and royalty at the time.
We offer you two styles of wedding favours, the organza bag or small black boxes. Both come decorated and filled, and you may choose from tradional almond dragrees, chocolate degrees, chocolates or retro love hearts!
